Organization of “Day 1” for the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Group

The mission: to set up a task force bringing together all the expertise of Pelham Media (and several dozen employees) to design and produce all supporting elements and events for the new Group… in 5 weeks!

1. The challenges

On June 7, 2018, Unibail-Rodamco, Europe’s leading commercial real estate company, completed its acquisition of Westfield, to become Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. Following the acquisition of Rodamco by Unibail in 2007, the acquisition of Westfield was a landmark event in the history of the Group, which overnight became the first player in its sector to be operational across two continents. The launch event had to reflect this dimension. Moreover, from its birth, the new Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Group had to have all the tools of corporate communication ready to go, including websites, video presentations, corporate brochures and full corporate branding.

2. Project approach

We delivered complete support for all communication tools around the acquisition of Westfield by Unibail-Rodamco:

  • The design and production of the announcement event at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, with live video links to events at the London, New York and Los Angeles offices, and broadcast to all the countries of the Group.
  • The creation and production of presentation materials for the new Group, including a corporate brochure, a corporate PPT presentations, poster advertising and a new graphic charter.
  • The creation and execution of a corporate video and a presentation video featuring our assets.
  • Graphical creation of the corporate website, graphic design of Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
  • Editorial, ergonomic, and graphic design and development of the extranet of the new Group, aimed at all employees.
  • Design, production and distribution of goodie bags to all the Group’s 3,700 employees in 13 countries (notebooks, pens, stickers, tote bags, etc.).
  • Graphic design of all stationery elements (mail signatures, business cards, letterheads, press release templates, etc.).
