Paris 2018 Gay Games
The organization Paris 2018 was selected in 2014 by the Federation of Gay Games to organize the 10th edition of the Gay Games.
Organized every four years for over 30 years, the Gay Games advocate a society open to all diversities around the largest sporting, cultural and festive event in the world—one open to all. From August 4 to 12, 2018, Paris welcomed 15,000 participants from more than 70 countries to compete in one of the 36 sports on offer. Supported by the highest governing bodies and sports institutions in France, Paris 2018 prepared games celebrating diversity, respect, equality, solidarity and sharing. Among the many disciplines proposed, the half-marathon and the Paris 2018 marathon took place on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
Paris 2018 asked KCO to organize the half-marathon and marathon events for the Gay Games Paris 2018 around three axes:
- Respect the courses defined by the Directorate for Youth and Sports and the sports management of Paris 2018, and measured by the French Athletics Federation
- Guarantee the correct implementation of the courses and the establishment of a departure / arrival village
- Manage supplies, timing, volunteers, rescue and the safety of all events
